Cold callers would probably stop if folks just ignored them, but since some are willing to listen, they keep going. Personally, I never answer or engage. Any business that keeps ringing me out of the blue or sends unwanted letters, I make a point never to deal with them, and I've stuck to that rule quite a few times now.

kept getting calls on my leicester landline, first it was a guy claiming he’s from car phone warehouse, i just hung up and blocked the number. then shortly after a woman rang from some company called acus or something i’d never heard of, i hung up and blocked it again. the next day another call from a leicester number but i ignored it. they even know my first name now so all calls from leicester numbers are blocked.
