For weeks now, this number has been ringing my mum repeatedly. They keep claiming she’s still settling a bill with TalkTalk, even though she ended the contract ages ago. They say they’re working on organising a refund, but when we told them her computer’s broken and we can’t follow their suspicious instructions, they said they'd call back in about 30 minutes to check if we’ve got access to another computer. This is just the latest in a bunch of calls we've had from them. Some have even turned nasty, with threats like "you’ll die" and warnings that "we know who you are, watch your back."

Someone rang me pretending to be from TalkTalk, the same old trick about my computer having some kind of problem. I reported it to TalkTalk but they didn’t really do anything, just told me it’s not their responsibility if I keep getting these annoying calls. Now when they phone, I just say “Hello, Police Scotland here, how can I help you?” and they usually get all angry and hang up straight away.

Loads of TalkTalk employees and tech folks seem to be based in India, so makes you wonder about the quality of their info. Honestly, some of them have massive problems handling stuff. Not trying to stereotype, but if the shoe fits... they kinda come off like shady operators. Looks like this Leicester newsagent's phone got hacked. They've told the police and also Talk Talk's fraud team about it. Since then, the shop has had over 600 people calling back after seeing missed calls from this number. They said they’ll be switching to a new number in a couple of days.

This number rings me more than 4 times daily and they pretend to be from TalkTalk, which they definitely aren’t. I keep telling them to stop and to take my number off their list, but they just end the call and carry on phoning. They try to get you to use your computer and then ask for information so they can take over it, all while encouraging you to open your online banking.

For about a year now, I've been getting phone calls from Indian scammers using numbers starting with 0012, always pulling the classic "I'm from TalkTalk" routine. Their game is to get you to connect your computer to them so they can steal everything. Funny thing is, I recently switched to TalkTalk just under a week ago, and now a local Leicester number has been ringing me, also pretending to be TalkTalk. Something fishy is definitely happening here - these lot seem to have inside info and somehow find out exactly when people sign up with the real TalkTalk.

Got loads of calls from this number, which is actually linked to a newsagent in the UK. Seems like scammers have taken over the line, pretending to be from TalkTalk. When I asked who they were, they started insulting me, calling me a ‘Bastardo’, and my partner got told to ‘f**k off’ before the call ended. Would be great if someone could track these idiots down, shut them off and take their phones away.

Like many others, i mostly just put those callers on hold and blast some Pink Floyd tunes, theydont seem to mind cause they keep calling back. Maybe they’re fans of classic rock? I think next time I’ll try some Leonard Cohen and see if that does the trick.

The majority of talktalk employees and engineers seem to be from India, which makes you wonder about the source of their info. Honestly, they’ve got moles the size of hippos. Don’t want to stereotype but if the shoe fits, these folks act and speak like petty criminals. Their customer service is rubbish, like proper pros at being unhelpful, and weirdly everyone sounds the same - even though there’s hundreds of dialects over there. So basically, they’re ripping you off from both ends. They claim to be from Leicester (lol, like there’s tons of them there!). But these scammers can fake the number on your caller ID however they want. You could learn how to do the same trick in less than 5 minutes.

So this number (0116 2332020) actually belongs to a newsagent in Leicester, but their line has been hacked or something. They've told both the police and Talk Talk’s fraud team about it. The newsagent has been bombarded with more than 600 calls from folks who got missed calls and then tried ringing back. They’re sorting a new phone number out, which should be done in a day or two.

Had three calls all in the space of an hour from different people: first one said he was Albert, then Christian, and finally Michael. They all said they were from TalkTalk about my router. The accent was really thick, maybe Indian, and quite hard to catch what they were saying. I don’t even use TalkTalk. Felt like a proper annoying scam, very pushy and a bit threatening.
