I received a call purporting to be from TalkTalk, but it was quite clearly a scam. The caller insisted that my phone line had been compromised and was fishing for my personal information.

Talk Talk lets you block up to ten numbers, which helped me block this one. But honestly, I reckon ten blocks just isn't enough for most people. We probably need to be able to block loads more.

like I said, really frustrating and annoying situation here.

I’m so over all these calls! Got in touch with TalkTalk but it didn’t do any good. Thinking about switching to BT now. The number that’s been buzzing me at least three times a day is 01662332019.

This morning I got a couple of calls from this number, first a bloke, then a lady. They both said there was some issue with our internet router and told me to stay by the computer. I just said we'd contact TalkTalk ourselves if anything was wrong. Definitely feels like a scam.

Honestly, I’ve seen so many comments just like this one. They’ve been using different phone numbers for ages now. I’m pretty sure they got hold of our details from TalkTalk - but seriously, why has TalkTalk not taken any action about it yet???

Pretty much the same thing happened to me and I'm not daft either!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said he was from TalkTalk and that my router had issues. I instantly knew it was a scam, so I told him not to bother calling back because I’m not daft.

I had a pretty much identical experience to others here, and I’m really glad my phone has caller ID so I can check who’s calling. This website has been quite handy and honestly, it’s a relief knowing other folks are going through the same thing! I used to be with TalkTalk and it seems like I was just one of the unlucky ones whose number got nicked because I’ve never had these dodgy calls before.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was from Talk Talk. I told him straight up it was a scam and blocked the number on my phone. But the annoying bit is, whenever I block one, they just ring from a new one!

If you want to stop these annoying calls for good, try using the BT8500 phone - seriously, it’s a game changer. Since I started using it, I haven’t had a single bother from scammers, telemarketers, or cold callers. The funny thing is, I only find out they even tried calling by checking the call logs. The trick is, callers have to press the hash button to get through, but almost all of these pests don’t bother with it. And for the few that do, you can still block or reject them easily. Definitely never going back to putting up with these nuisance calls!

Total scam alert. Some bloke called saying my router was infected and asked if they could check my computer - yeah, right! Told them I'd call TalkTalk to sort it out and they hung up on me right away. I phoned TalkTalk myself and they confirmed it was a scam. Stay wary, folks!

2019 011623 Honestly, this feels like utter fraud to me. It’s a blatant con. Why aren’t the police doing anything about it? Absolutely disgraceful.

I keep getting calls from 01162332019 saying they're from TalkTalk and trying to stop viruses from infecting my computer. Even after I told TalkTalk about it, the calls haven't stopped. It's really annoying!

Got a call from a number, but total silence on the other end. These same clowns have phoned me in the past, saying they found viruses on my TalkTalk router. Seriously, why isn't there some kind of official body to put an end to this nonsense?

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang me, pretending to be from TalkTalk and claimed my PC was full of viruses. Now, I work in IT, so I was onto his game straight away and decided to play along. He told me to download this thing called TeamViewer and then asked for the password to it. I knew as soon as he got that info, he could get into my computer whenever he wanted and nick anything to do with money. I called him out, telling him he was a fraud trying to scam folks. Honestly, if you don’t know much about computers, you might easily fall for this kind of trick!

Blocked this number but then the following day it rings again, only this time it’s got 00114 tacked onto the front! I’ve never been bombarded like this with calls before. I do shift work so it’s really frustrating. Think I’ll just switch off the landline from now on. They never even say anything when I pick up, and I keep quiet too. Has anyone else had calls asking for a ‘Mrs Barlow’?

So fed up with these bogus calls from TalkTalk about some virus or whatever. No clue why TalkTalk hasn’t done anything to stop it yet.

I get like three calls daily from 'Talk Talk' and if I block one number, they just ring me from a different one. I've tried loads of ways to stop them, but whenever I ask for my account number they just end the call. It's not just irritating, it's really hard for me too since I can't move about much!
