This morning, around half past eight, I received another call from a woman inquiring if I was...... I simply informed her that she had dialled the wrong number before ending the call. Interestingly, this same number had contacted me yesterday, but they hung up without uttering a word. Quite odd, if you ask me!

This morning around 11.11, I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent offering to help me block annoying calls. He confirmed my phone number and address with me, then transferred me to his manager, who also sounded Asian and quite polite. The manager repeated the details and told me I could get a free BT approved gadget to block those nuisance calls. He mentioned I pay my phone bill by direct debit and said I'd get a 20% discount on my phone charges starting next month. When he asked for the expiry date on my debit card, I told him I didn’t have one and ended the call soon after.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he worked for some firm that handled scam calls. He said I'd had loads of scam calls in the past few weeks (which is funny, because those were from them). He tried to convince me they’d put me on a “no call” list or something. I told him not to bother, cos they’re the actual scammers, then just ended the call.

i got a call from someone saying he was richard from bt's advanced call blocking team, he asked me to confirm my address then said i was a pensioner. he tried to sell me a call blocking service. when i told him bt wasnt my phone provider, he guessed i was with sky and said he could still help me with line blocking for a fair price. i just hung up on him.

got a call from a sort of unclear woman, maybe from south asia, talking about some scam call blocking service. sounded really fishy to me. ive just blocked the number straight away.

Some guy called and said he was “Richard” from something like “advanced call blocking” trying to talk about stopping spam calls. He actually knew my last name and even my first initial. When I asked for the website, he mentioned something like [#]techsupportgroup[###)/. I asked for a phone number and he gave me 02033272090.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent warning me about my phone being hacked or something, then he offered to block all the numbers for me. I just said thanks and hung up. I've since blocked the number myself.
