I caught her starting to share some private info, so I jumped in on the call. The guy refused to say his name or the company he represented. When I said I'd end the call if he didn't share that basic info, he suddenly agreed but then told me to ‘f##k off’ and slammed the phone down. Total con. Best thing to do is just hang up right away.

got a call yesterday regarding renewing my home insurance, they claimed to be connected with my bank but it just didn’t feel right. i have no idea how they got my number since my number is ex-directory plus i’m signed up with the telephone preference service to block rubbish calls. whatever you do, don’t share any details with these lot, no matter how small - these scam callers have no shame and will probably pass your info around, which could lead to identity theft. so be careful!
