They said something like “Sl…” then went straight into their sales pitch. I just told them my husband wasn’t interested and hung up. No chance I’ll answer that number again! Got a call about home insurance, claiming I took part in a consumer survey back in May 2018 showing interest. Problem is, I wasn't even in the UK then - no chance. They insisted I’m on TPS, but this woman kept arguing, saying they got my info from some survey company and I should ring them instead. I told her I’m dealing with her now and I won't be reaching out to anyone else. She said she’d remove my number from their records... yeah, sure.

Some bloke rang up pretending to be from a life insurance firm, but he messed with the wrong person. I told him straight, I’m on the TPS, and he had no business ringing me out of the blue. He first said it wasn’t a sales pitch, but when I asked if he was actually trying to sell life insurance, he admitted he was. I told him that’s definitely a sales call and told him where to go. Proper nuisance. If you’re gonna mention stuff like this here, make sure you report it to the ICO as well, otherwise it’s just a waste of time for everyone. Done my bit and lodged a complaint with the ICO.

someone rang me saying they were from a home insurance firm. they already seemed to know my current insurance was about to expire. after a long chat, they offered me a price and asked for my bank info to get me started. i insisted they email me the policy info first before i commit to anything. they kept pushing, but i never handed over my bank details. eventually, i told them i had to leave and just ended the call.
