Capital One seem to have taken quite a liking to our number, as they’ve been constantly ringing us-fifteen to twenty times a day over the past fortnight, no less! They've called from various different numbers, but this particular one was the first time we've encountered it. We’ve now officially filed it away in our ‘do not answer’ list.

I keep receiving incessant calls from this number and various others linked to Capital One. While I wouldn't be so bothered if our bills weren't already settled, it's rather vexing. It’s almost comical since I’ll get a call on my mobile, swiftly followed by one on the home phone. There's frequently a strange delay, and honestly, if there's someone on the other end trying to speak, it feels just like being interrupted by a call from Mumbai - utterly incomprehensible! To top it off, these persistent calls seem to come at the most inconvenient hours, any day of the week.

I’m absolutely inundated with phone calls from these numbers, even on a Saturday morning at 9 o'clock! We're registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but it seems to have no effect whatsoever. We have no connection to Capital One and have no intention of ever having one. It's rather maddening, to be honest, as they seem to ring from a plethora of different numbers. To give you an idea, I've had calls from 08004220294, 08004220292, 08005610415, 08004220295, 01159938303, 01158431409, 01159938307, 01158431405, 01159938309, 01158431401, and 01159938305, just to name a few!
