I received a call from this number, but it only rang once before abruptly disconnecting. When I called back, I was informed that it was a person from the University of Nottingham trying to reach me. The message requested me to enter my extension if I recognised the caller, otherwise, it advised to hang up. Naturally, I chose to hang up.

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Nottingham University. As you'd expect, their goal seemed to be extracting some cash from me. It appears they may be focusing their efforts on alumni folks. In light of this, we’ve opted to remove our phone number from our Alumni Online profile.

Regrettably, it appears these individuals don’t provide an option to unsubscribe from their incessant phone calls. I've taken the liberty of blocking their number for the time being. Should they persist in this manner, I’ll have no choice but to sever all connections with them entirely. Honestly, we have zero interest in contributing funds in response to unsolicited calls-especially from organisations that seem more focused on vocational training rather than genuine academic pursuits, which is precisely what this should revolve around, to begin with!

Receiving those pesky silent calls, are we? It's rather irritating, isn't it? Has anyone got any suggestions on how to tackle this annoyance?

We received a silent call from the number mentioned above. I’m quite curious as to how these individuals obtained our number, considering we're supposed to be on the ex-directory list. Or could it simply be that they were dialling at random?

The University of Nottingham, eh? It seems these "students" are just after your cash, as one could easily surmise. It looks like they might be focusing on graduates specifically. We've now deleted our phone numbers from our alumni profiles online, just to be safe.
