I was approached with a proposal to cut my O2 phone bills by a whopping 35%. However, something feels amiss since I've never even been an O2 customer. It strikes me as highly dodgy - probably a scam!

Got a call from a bloke named Steve claiming to be from EE, offering to slash my bill from £20 down to 12. Then, out of the blue, an email landed saying I was getting an iPhone 15 Pro Max but with a monthly charge of £68. When I rang Steve back, he said the email wasn’t meant for me and was sent to the wrong person. I got in touch with EE and they managed to put a stop to it. Oddly enough, on the very same day, someone tried logging into my Facebook. Steve used a couple of numbers to get hold of me, including 01618439720 based in Manchester and 07307350285. EE confirmed it was all a scam, so watch out!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, saying they wanted to lower my bill. I told them to take my number off their call list or I'd have to report them. Then the bloke threatened to hike up my bill instead. I've since contacted O2 directly and flagged the number to them.

It’s weird how the moment you simply ask what the call’s about, they just hang up straight away. These scam calls are seriously starting to get on my nerves. Signing up with the TPS doesn’t seem to stop them at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were 02, trying to give me some sort of huge discount. Thing is, I don't even use 02, so I instantly knew it was a scam to get my details or phone access. Wasn't in the mood to waste time chatting, so I just ended the call straight away.
