I received a ring from some ####, so I just told the bloke to #### right off.

This number popped up on my phone showing it was from Nottingham. When I picked up, there was just a recorded voice saying “goodbye” and then it cut off straight away. I reckon it’s one of those scam tactics where they ring loads of numbers automatically and see which ones pick up. So now, my number’s probably been spotted and put on some list, making me more likely to get spam or scam calls. If you got a call like this too, it's probably the same trick. It’s not really harmful right now, but could lead to real scammers contacting you later on.
