I received a rather dodgy call from someone masquerading as a representative from Carphone Warehouse, claiming to have a fantastic offer on an iPhone at a reduced price. It’s clearly a scam! I highly recommend you add this number to your blocked contacts straight away.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from the UK, kept asking me loads of questions. Didn't seem right to me, so I ended up blocking the number.

Somebody with a hard-to-understand accent rang me and just wanted a quick moment of my time.

The bloke called me, already knowing my full name, and kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything but just needed a quick 15 seconds. Sounded dodgy to me. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he got pretty pushy and then just hung up. Definitely felt like a scam.

They actually knew my name and tried to confirm it, but I kept asking where they were ringing me from. They said the UK and tried to carry on. When I asked again, they snapped at me and asked if I was deaf! After a bit more rude and aggressive shouting, I just hung up.

They tried ringing me a couple of times, but I didn’t answer. Looking through the reviews, I think I’ll just block the number.

She knew my name right away and double-checked it with me before saying something like, "Please don’t get me wrong, I just need a couple of minutes of your time to ask some questions." I told her I was busy at work and couldn’t talk. The lady had an Indian accent, so I suppose the call was coming from abroad, even though the number had Nottingham’s area code.
