Got a call saying my washing machine warranty was up and they wanted to sell me an extension. I asked for more details to be sure, like the brand and model. She said it was a Hotpoint from 4 years ago, which I definitely don’t have. When I pointed that out, she said maybe it was an error, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. She quickly ended the call after that. Sounds like they’re fishing for payment info on a machine that isn’t even mine, probably trying to sneak in some fake insurance charges.
