This particular number seems to ring me approximately twice a year, and each time they’re after the same individual. I constantly reiterate that no one by that name resides here and request they erase my number from their calling roster. I'm continually receiving phone calls from people looking for someone who’s never resided at my address or had my number. Whenever I inform them, they either apologise profusely and assure me that I'll be taken off their list, or they abruptly hang up. At one point, I was inundated with three or more calls daily, but thankfully that's decreased to about once a week now. Yet, I'm still not entirely free from these nuisance calls.

If it’s an important call, I expect them to leave a message. Strangely enough, most callers, around 95% or so, simply do not bother to do so. I’ve got my personal mobile, which is exclusively for my circle of friends and family — absolutely no one else has that number. For any other inquiries, like when I order things online, I use a budget phone, giving out that number instead. This allows me to pick it up if I’m at home or out and about, while keeping my personal number safe. This setup seems to suit me just fine. As for my landline, it primarily serves as my internet connection, and I'm contemplating whether it’s worth keeping at all.
