Had a call from a lady saying she was ringing about energy deals and some sort of research going on. We've had loads of calls like that from firms trying to book an energy assessor to check our loft and cavity insulation. When I asked if it was a cold call and mentioned we’re signed up to the TPS, she claimed it wasn’t, so it didn’t count (which is pretty clearly a lie). She acted all innocent and then just ended the call - I’m sure they’ll be back, that’s just how these companies operate.

After reading some other posts here, it’s clear this number belongs to a sales outfit that handles cold calls for loads of different firms. A few weeks ago, one of their reps phoned me about some data ware stuff or whatever it was. It feels like a nonstop loop - each cold call funds the next by passing on your info to another telemarketing group. Who knows what details we might be unknowingly handing over that then get traded around? And the idea that folks in unregulated call centres abroad might be selling our data on is honestly pretty scary.

Got a call from some lot called Resolve, they said they’re a research and development firm, supposedly carrying out a census on loft and wall insulation around here to check if everything’s up to standard. But I’m certain it was just a clever way to get a salesman through the door.

They rang asking to speak to my husband, but I told them it was my phone. When she wanted his number, I said if she really knew him, she’d already have it. Then she claimed she was calling from a solicitor’s office to arrange a hearing test connected to his old job - total rubbish. When I called her out on it, she had the cheek to say I was being rude. Just another cold call scam, trying to push you into paying for a hearing test you don’t need. Don’t fall for it, just block and move on.

I received a call from this number, and as soon as I picked up, they cut off the line. Curiosity got the better of me, so I tried ringing back only to be greeted by a robotic voice informing me it was an outbound line only.

What on earth are they after? What's the purpose of their calls?

Got another call from some company out of the blue, dunno who they are.

Received another call from a withheld number, and the person on the other end was absolutely atrocious, hurling insults that I didn’t even know could be uttered. Truly vile individuals.
