This number called me four times early this morning around 3:49, luckily my phone was acting up so I missed it. When I tried ringing back from a different phone it said the number was wrong. Seems like one of those annoying nuisance calls to me.

Got a recorded message from Cardinal Newman College using one of those robot voices. My answering machine picked it up, but apparently the system needed me to press a button to end the call. Since it's a machine, it didn’t get it and kept looping with “Press 1 to listen again, press 2 to hang up” over and over, filling up my voicemail with loads of repeats. Proper frustrating!

Even though I’ve got BT Call Block set up, this number still manages to ring my landline first thing in the morning, usually around 7 to 8 am. Sometimes it’s just once, other times twice before I've even had my tea. I never pick up now since I sussed out long ago it’s a scam, but it’s really frustrating being jolted awake and then having to dash downstairs just in case it’s some older family member who doesn’t have a mobile. Proper pain that is!

An automated voice answered and said it was from Aviva, mentioning something about a ‘recent request’ that needed discussing and gave a number to ring back on. I do have dealings with Aviva, but I’m definately going to use a number I already know instead of the one they provided! At first i assumed it was some kind of scam, but turns out its just a text update service. My daughter went on a school trip to Switzerland and their plane got cancelled. The school sent out updates by text and i got the messages both on my phone and through this number on my home phone, telling me about the rescheduled flight. This is just a delivery service tho, they dont manage what the texts say.

I got a bit wary, so I did some digging on PageOne and found out it’s actually a legit Messaging firm. The weird calls people get happen cause they handed over a landline number instead of their mobile to some company they dealt with. If you gave them your mobile, you’d receive a text, but if it’s a landline, the service rings and an automated voice reads out the message. That’s why there’s loads of different callers mentioned here, as plenty of companies use this service.

Complete rip off. It’s one of those automated calls telling you stuff and asking you to press numbers. If you do press any number, the call just ends but you’re charged extra on your phone bill. So don’t press anything, just hang up straight away. It’s a trick to make you press and then disconnect so you get a charge. Have a look at your bill if you’ve pressed anything.

Loads of folks seem to think this is risky. It asks whether you want to accept or reject a message? Not sure if it’s legit or not, but the message could be quite important, especially if you’re in situations like a parent with a kid at school or something. So maybe it’s worth hearing it out. I'm tired of receiving these calls, why can't companies take action? We pay providers a sufficient amount considering all the available technology, it's ridiculous. Big Brother is aware of every single thing we do, yet they can't prevent nuisance calls.

Got a call from 01157070375 at 12:40pm on 29/10/19. There was a recorded message saying to press 1 to take part in some post office system test (we actually work at a post office). Our post office never does anything like this. I didn’t press anything. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Not sure who this is, it was a recorded voice and really hard to hear, sounded like I was supposed to press 1 to listen. I keep gettin calls from this number a few times every day. I use call protect from BT but it hasn’t blocked this one so far.
