Got one of those calls again, this time from a new number but same old scam. My number’s on the TPS list, so it’s pretty rubbish that these lot keep ringing. Registering with TPS feels like a total waste of time, doesn't it? Like trying to use a teapot made of chocolate!

Someone rang me up sounding like they were from abroad, and they wanted me to verify my name and address, which they already seemed to have. When I questioned why they needed me to confirm my postcode, they just hung up straight away. Not sure what the angle was, but it definitely felt like some sort of scam to me.

If someone rings me and starts with ‘can you confirm your details’, I’m immediately suspicious they’re trying to scam info out of me. It’s one thing if I’ve called them first and they need to check who I am, but when they call out of the blue and expect me to spill private stuff? No chance! I don’t have a clue who these people are, and honestly, I’m not bothered. They keep switching their numbers too, which is a big red flag. Surely if this was legit, they’d send something official through the post or email me instead, right? Seems proper dodgy to me.
