Got a call from a woman claiming she was ringing on behalf of Currys PC World. When I asked where she got my phone number from, she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call earlier today from someone saying they were with O2, saying we could get a special deal since we’re apparently already their customers. The weird thing is, we’re not actually with O2 at all. When I told them that, the caller just ended the call straight away.

Got a call out the blue from someone acting like they were from O2. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming it was about my O2 account. I don’t actually have any O2 services, so I just ended the call thinking it was probably a scam.

Got a call from someone acting like they were O2, asking me to verify my personal info so I could get some sort of deal. Kinda sure it was the same lady who’s tried pulling the Virgin Media and even my landlord scam on me before. Really dodgy!

Someone claiming to be from O2 called me, but as soon as I answered and said hi, they just ended the call.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, picked up but stayed quiet. After a bit, some robotic voice said ‘Goodbye’. Took a look online and it looks a bit shady to me.

Those gross deli rats seriously need to leave my country, they’re such a nuisance.

On the 8th of September around half past one in the afternoon, I got a call from a man with an Asian accent about something to do with a mobility plan. I’m pretty wary of these things, so I put the call on speaker and went on mute. He disconnected but called straight back, so I repeated what I did before. Then he shouted some rude words and ended the call. Later, when I checked the number online, I found loads of warnings saying it’s linked to scams. Just watch out for this one, don’t let it catch you off guard.

Got a call from 01156770768 claiming to be Vodafone’s promo team. They said they could cut my bills down to £40 a month for my new Samsung S23 Ultra. Seems a bit sus to me, not sure if it’s legit.

Got a call from this number earlier, they said they were with Vodafone’s promo team. They were trying to convince me they could cut my Samsung 23 Ultra bill down to 40 quid a month. Sounded a bit dodgy to me, lowering it to just 40 pounds monthly or something.

Got a call out of the blue trying to sell me some deal? They kept asking for my info so they could send a code to get into the offer. Obviously just a sneaky way to hack my phone and mess with my account. Really dodgy stuff! Stay well clear of these people!

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from O2, saying you can get 40% off your bill... defo not O2! Never hand over your passcodes to anyone like that.

Someone claimed to be from PC World, but I quickly told them I don't share any personal details with cold callers, then just ended the call.

Watch out, it's a total scam. Someone called claiming to give discounts and wanted me to share a code. Don't trust it!

I ended up chatting with O2 after wasting over 5 minutes on this dodgy call to try and protect others who might not be as careful. A woman with an Asian accent rings saying there’s a deal on your O2 plan. They then try to get you to repeat a code they send, supposedly to 'verify' your account. Never share that code! It’s a well-known scam, and O2 themselves say they’ll never ring up and ask for any sort of code. Don’t hand it over! If you do, they can buy stuff charged straight to your O2 account.
