I got a call from someone saying they were from ‘Total Motor Assist’, the firm supposedly dealing with my car insurance claim. I don’t really remember them since I always spoke straight to my insurer. They mentioned they had a report from the other party involved that they wanted to discuss with me, but then, out of nowhere, the call just dropped.

Had pretty much the same thing happen to me as others here have said. They kept pushing me to file a claim against the other driver, claiming it was their fault. They kept saying I deserved the payout even if I wasn’t hurt, and if I didn’t claim, the cash would just line the pockets of the company’s bosses. I’m so fed up with these calls coming from all sorts of numbers - try to block one and another one pops up straight away. It's really annoying!

Someone called claiming they were with ‘the accident help group’. I asked which company they were with, and they said they were a third party working for my insurer, but when I pressed for the name of my insurance company, they couldn’t say. They knew my car registration and my name but had no other info, and I didn’t share anything with them. They claimed I owed a payment for a category C claim. I told them I wasn’t convinced it was legit and they just hung up.

Got a phone call from these lot, and honestly, they were proper rude. They asked if I wanted £3,000 for a recent car crash, but I’ve never even been in an accident. Totally dodgy scammers, I reckon.

Received a dodgy phone call claiming I was owed £3000 due to a car accident. The thing is, I've never been in a car accident! The person on the other end was quite curt and unpleasant as well. It was truly a dreadful experience dealing with these callers.

I'm convinced this is some sort of scam. They mentioned details about a crash I was involved in a couple of months back (no idea how they got that info). Honestly, it just doesn't feel right. Got a really awful call from this number, someone shouting at me about claiming compensation, saying I don’t know the law and I have to go through them. They claimed to be authorised by every insurance firm out there. Total rubbish since I’ve never been in an accident! When I asked for proof or details, they just hung up on me. These types of callers should be banned, what a disgrace!

I've been inundated with persistent calls from personal injury claims companies following a mishap I had. One of the callers really lost their cool when I requested they take my information off their list and cease their calls. Recently, I’ve had a call from a number in addition to 03301741067. When I probed them about who they were, they claimed to represent The Claims Department from The Legal Advice Centre. However, a quick search and I realised that their website doesn’t match up: http://www.legal-advice-centre.co.uk/. After blocking the previous number, they decided to ring me again from this one. They seem to have details about an incident I had quite some time ago, but every bit of information they provided was muddled. For instance, they couldn’t correctly identify who was responsible or the prior claims I’ve submitted-only my registration number was accurate. I confronted them about why they lacked a Customer Relationship Management system and hadn’t documented our earlier conversations, querying why they were reaching out to me instead of my insurance company. I also mentioned the absence of any written correspondence from them, but there were no explanations forthcoming. When I broached the topic of whether this could be a scam, their response was rather dismissive, “A scam?? How did you deduce that?” They then suggested I review my policy and wished me a pleasant day.

didn't pick up cos it reminded me of those dodgy numbers ambulance chasing lawyers use, i get loads every day. weirdly, right before I got this call, I was speaking to a legit insurance fraud unit about a fake personal injury claim linked to an accident I had a few months ago. the odd thing is, the person claiming doesn't even live at my place, and I was the only one in the vehicle at the time. feels like those scammers might've been caught out now.

I have a hunch these might be accident chasers, as I've dealt with similar calls on two other numbers from various locations. I went ahead and alerted Action Fraud about it, but they said there wasn’t enough evidence to take any action. Maybe if more people reported these nuisances, they might actually be able to investigate properly.
