Not sure who they were, probably just another scam.

A few days back, I received a call from this number, but I missed it entirely as I didn’t catch the ring. They decided to give it another go today, and regrettably, I picked up. Turns out it’s associated with Cabot debt collectors. Honestly, who would want to be bothered by them?

i got a call from someone saying they were from hmrc, said there was some kind of fraud on my name and told me to press 1. looked dodgy to me.

Most likely one of those spam calls. I just let it ring without picking up, and they didn't leave any voicemail either.

Beware of the Amazon Prime account scam going around. It’s really risky, so best to steer clear and not reply when you get such calls.
