I picked up because the number looked like it was nearby. The person on the line claimed to be from Vodafone, trying to offer me a deal to lower my phone bill. I wondered why they asked what phone I had since I’ve got a contract with Vodafone, they should already know that info. In the end, I said I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Some bloke called Gareth, said he was with the Housing Repair team, started quizzing me about stuff being fixed in my house. I asked straight if he was with Lambeth Council, since they're who handle repairs around here. He said he had nothing to do with the council, so I’m thinking he’s probably just some dodgy freelancer or scammer trying to blag his way in.
