They then prompted me to press a button to speak with someone. I can't help but wonder if this would lead me to a live scammer fishing for my bank information or somehow connect me to an expensive premium rate line. It's quite telling that they never identified themselves; I'm fairly certain that any legitimate provider would clearly state their name when making such a serious claim.
