Got a call from a blocked number, but they just stayed quiet. Ended up blocking them.

Totally a con, they claimed to be from TalkTalk but I don’t even have their service. I just mess around and keep them chatting for ages - it’s a laugh and also means they can't bother anyone else for a while.

These fraudsters have rang me a few times, so now I play dumb and chat with them for half an hour or so. I act like I don’t understand much, then after a while, I’ll ask, “Will it matter if my computer’s got a tiny fruit with a bite missing on it?” That’s when they usually lose it and swear before quitting the call! :)

Once more, I received a call from an Asian gentleman who claimed to be Michael representing Talk Talk. He stated that my internet was experiencing issues and insisted that I log onto my computer so he could guide me through some sort of resolution. I quickly recognised the ruse and informed him that I would be reporting this number to the police. He tried to argue for a moment but then abruptly disconnected the call. When I attempted to ring back, there was no answer; the line was silent.

Some bloke claimed he was with TalkTalk and kept rambling in this broken Indian English about my computer being totally wrecked. Then he just cut off the call. Honestly, they come off as pretty daft.

Got a phone call today from someone named "Michael" claiming he was from Talktalk, which is the company that provides my internet. I quickly let him know he was mistaken and he just hung up.

I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent, purporting to be a technician from TalkTalk, insisting that my system had been compromised. I politely thanked him for the heads-up and promptly ended the call, suspecting it was a scam. I did a bit of digging into the phone number on this site, and it turns out my instincts were spot on.

How peculiar, I had an encounter with an Indian lady who was quite enraged, shouting that she couldn’t stand me! All I did was ask her to stop ringing me.

This number rang me two times today, same voice both times wanting to talk to my husband, but he passed away 5 years back. The second call was proper rude, shouting 'LISTEN, I'M FROM TALK TALK.' I told them flat out, 'No way Talk Talk would phone customers like that. So just hang up and leave me alone!'

Got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk, said there was a problem with my internet and that some nasty software had been downloaded recently. She asked if I could turn on my PC to sort it out. I told her no, then she asked if I had a computer at all, like she was shocked. When I said nope, she just ended the call. Total scam, don’t bother picking up. I've blocked the number now.

This number definitely looked familiar to me. Loads of people have been getting calls from someone saying they're from the National Hearing Centre!!! It's just a scam, don’t fall for it. If you've got any issues with your hearing, you should always speak to your GP or the NHS directly. I’m pretty sure about this since I spent nearly four decades working for the NHS myself.

So this bloke calls me saying he's 'Harry' from Talk Talk, my internet company and all. I asked him to prove it, right? Next thing, he just cuts the call. Guess they didn’t expect that!

I got a ring from this number claiming to be Talk Talk. There was silence when I answered, so I called out 'hello' a few times. Suddenly, a woman shouted down the line, "HELLO HELLO HELLO! CAN YOU HEAR ME OR NOT?" I told her that was a bit rude, then she launched into some angry rant before ending the call. If this was really Talk Talk, they've got terrible customer manners!

Has anyone else who used to have Talk Talk experienced this? I never had these annoying calls until about a year after I switched away from them. Now I get bombarded with calls nearly every day, usually from either Talk Talk or Microsoft. It’s getting really frustrating. Weird thing is, the callers always have thick accents but their names sound typically English, like Shaun or Alan. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

Someone called claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was dangerous software on my PC that could cause harm. I just told them I’d leave my computer off then and ended the call. I've heard these sort of calls try to get you to let them control your computer remotely, which can let them steal your personal info. Definitely wouldn't trust this number, it’s dodgy as hell.

This afternoon, I received a rather peculiar phone call from a number that left me a bit baffled. The caller, who had an Asian accent, began by claiming there were error messages emanating from my computer and that he could assist in remedying the situation. I played along for about five minutes, but when he started requesting that I perform certain tasks on my machine, I casually explained that I don’t own a Windows PC-I’ve got a Mac. At that point, the line went dead as he terminated the call. Quite the experience, I must say!

this woman claimed to be calling from microsoft saying there was a virus on my computer and it might crash soon. she asked if my pc was on, and when i said no, she told me to switch it on. i ended the call pretty quickly. i knew right away it was dodgy, but i was curious about what she’d say and figured i'd waste a bit of her time like she does with her annoying calls. honestly, these sorts of calls need to be stopped somehow.

So this idiot calls me and asks if I’m “Mr Laura” just cos I answered with a bloke's voice. I mean, come on, even Talk Talk wouldn’t hire such a daft robot to make calls! What a joke.

They claimed to be from TalkTalk, but what really threw me off was all the voices I could hear in the background. It didn’t sound like a normal call, more like some sort of scam call with a bunch of people involved. Unless it was some sort of fake background noise, it definitely seemed dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft - it was obvious a scam straight away, but I stayed on for a bit just for the amusement. The caller, a woman, claimed they’d been watching my computer and found loads of viruses, then asked if I knew what a virus was. I said yes, I actually work in IT. She carried on rambling some unclear stuff about viruses, but I cut her off to say again that I’m in IT. She suddenly got quiet, so I just ended the call. Bet they were gearing up to pitch me some dodgy software or try and get my card info.

I received a call from this number, and the person on the other end had a voice that sounded Indian or Asian. They claimed they could help me prevent unwanted international calls. Puzzlingly, they then asked how I settled my phone bill and wanted the expiry date of the card I used for payment. I didn’t divulge any of my details, though.
