Got a voicemail from someone calling themselves "Officer" Dennis Grey at HMRC, but the message was played in this weird American female robotic voice, kind of like a female version of Stephen Hawking. They said I had to ring back or face "legal consequences." Thing is, HMRC wouldn't do that. They always send letters asking for proof like payslips or receipts if there’s an issue. Also, HMRC staff aren’t called officers, that’s not a title they use. This is absolutely a SCAM. Don’t bother answering or calling back.

I didn’t give it and said I suspected it was a scam since HM Customs wouldn’t handle things like that over the phone.
