My phone went off for like half a minute before I got a weird robotic message in an American accent. They said they’re from the HMRC but didn’t really explain why they were ringing me. The message was cut off, but they told me to ring back “officer Dennis Grey,” else I’d face legal trouble if they don’t hear back from me or my lawyer. Totally dumb move since HMRC never sends suspicious calls or messages like that. Best to just ignore and never ring back. You can report the scam straight on the HMRC website as well.

So, I got a call from someone named Denise Grey, said to be from HMRC, but it was just a machine, not an actual person. I'm going to give this number to the HMRC so they can check it out.

Its one of those dodgy fake hmre calls again with just a new number. Sad to say, someone might get scared and ring them back, only to end up being conned. These scumbags really target the weak, so the danger is pretty serious.
