I got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, telling me I owed £2543 in back taxes. They said if I didn’t pay £900 by 4pm today, the police would come and arrest me. The person was really pushy and quite rude, and their English was pretty poor, so it was tricky to make sense of what they were saying.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong English accent, claiming to be from the National Lottery. He was pushing tickets at some sort of "special price" that I’d have to pay through direct debit. Sounded really convincing, but I reckon he was after my bank info. I told him I wasn’t interested and quickly ended the call.
