This number has rung me a bunch of times, sometimes with just one digit at the end changed. I never pick up since I don’t recognise the number. After seeing what others said, I’m relieved I left it unanswered.

Got a call, didn't pick up, then a mobile (07537 186560) rang straight away. I picked up but no one said anything and then they just ended the call. Blocked both numbers now.

I’ve just blocked the number on my phone, I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know. If it’s really important, they should send a letter or something, that’s a way to get in touch too. Otherwise, straight to the bin it goes, haha, good luck to them!

Mentioned I ought to receive a complimentary hearing evaluation because of the racket at my workplace. When I inquired about what my occupation was, they just went silent.

##This is not a Sheffield number## Sheffield numbers start with 01142. The person who rang claimed to be from some sort of industrial compensation firm, attempting to get me to admit my hearing got damaged from working somewhere noisy. He was trying to come off all official but sounded totally fake. Just another load of claim sharks trying their luck.

Picked up the phone but no voice on the other end! Noticed it was the same number from Monday claiming to be from some Industrial Hearing Place asking about work-related hearing damage; it’s not been affected. We’ve signed up with TPS but honestly, it’s just pointless. Even though the number shows Sheffield, I very much doubt it's actually from there - likely just using the Sheffield code to seem more trustworthy to folks in South Yorkshire’s mining areas where I live.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a "hearing centre", asked if I worked somewhere noisy like with air tools or something. Said they’d already sent me a letter but I never got anything. Obviously just trying to drum up business for claims. Mostly just annoying, but the weird thing is I’m ex-directory, so how on earth do they have my number? Thankfully my phone blocks nuisance calls anyway.

Got a call from a Sheffield number, some ambulance chasers asking about an industrial injury i supposedly had, which i never did. Then they went on asking if i knew anyone with one. Strange!
