Loads of calls keep coming through on my home phone and I’m not sure why, especially since I’m living in Wales and the caller’s number is from Sheffield. They’ve been ringing me on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, twice on the 10th, then again on the 11th, 18th, 19th and 22nd of May. That’s ten unsolicited calls so far this month, which feels pretty dodgy and annoying. Today’s the 24th of May now and they still haven’t stopped.

Then they started talking about some Housing Repairs for a kid, asking for my school-age son by name. I joked if they were planning on rebuilding the school or something, and they just went, “Oh no, am I asking about a school kid? Blimey, sorry mate, I won’t bother again!” Had me in stitches 🤣🤣

They called and somehow already knew my name. There was loads of noise in the background. Then the person asked if they had reached me, using my name. I asked who was on the line and she mentioned something about tenants and the Council. I quickly blocked the number after that.

Some dodgy cold caller from Sheffield has been blowing up my landline with bogus calls since May 2nd around 4.45pm. They rang again on May 3rd at just after 7pm and once more on May 4th noonish. So far today, May 5th, no calls but I’m sure they’ll be back at it soon enough. I’m reporting them because since the 4th of May, cold calling anyone on mobiles or landlines, plus texting people relentlessly, is actually against the law now.

Every time I block one, they just ring again from another one on my mobile. They even try my landline and call me by my name, which is creepy because I’m ex-directory.
