Totally dodgy lot. They offered a fake refund but wanted loads of personal details like my driving license copy and stuff. Best to steer clear of them completely. They were pretty pushy and somehow got past my phone’s block and rang me again the day after, but from another number. When I called them out as scammers, they just acted like, ‘What us?’ They were pretending to be from TalkTalk too, so they’re quite sneaky.

Someone said they were Nancy from BT. Said there was a problem with my router, said it was unstable. Thing is, I'm not even a BT customer. This Indian lady, Nancy, then asked if I had a laptop or mobile devices. I was like, why do you need to know that? Then I just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be with Sky, saying they were looking into my internet going slow. Seemed fishy, so I asked him what my name was, and he got all awkward. Told him if he was really from Sky, he’d know my name and account details. After loads of stalling, he guessed my name was Diana 🤣 I told him no, and that was when I said it’s clearly a scam, then he quickly ended the call.

Got a call from someone with an accent saying they were from the NHS Covid-19 team. When I asked why they were calling, they said it was because I’m fully vaccinated... I cut them off there (I’m definitely not) and mentioned that the real NHS wouldn’t show a number on the caller ID. After that, the bloke just hung up.

Today, I received a rather dodgy call from someone pretending to represent my energy supplier. This chap started firing off all sorts of odd questions, even delving into personal details that, frankly, someone genuinely affiliated with the company would already be privy to. It struck me as extremely fishy, so I swiftly ended the conversation and decided to do a bit of digging on the number. Lo and behold, it turns out to be nothing more than a scam!

I’ve just had a call from these folks and the chap claimed to be from My Credit. I firmly told him I wasn’t interested, but I couldn’t help but overhear some other bloke chatting away in the background with someone else. It’s crystal clear to me these are scammers! I’ve seen other reviews where they’re pretending to be from energy suppliers and it seems they’ve simply switched up their act. Total dodgy business!

Someone called claiming to be from SSE, trying to check if I wanted a cheaper deal. I found it fishy straight away since I’m already on their lowest tariff. I said I wasn’t interested, but the bloke kept pushing, saying I could save over a hundred quid a month - which is nonsense because I don’t spend that much. I ended the call and looked it up afterwards, and I was spot on.

Some bloke rang me up claiming he could help me save cash on my energy bills. He already knew my name and address. Then he passed me over to a woman who tried to get my full name but only had part of it. I wasn’t giving out more info and ended the call. I rang the number back and someone picked up but wouldn’t say anything. So, I’ve just blocked the number now.

When I returned the call, there was a brief pause before someone finally responded, assuring me that my call was important and that someone would be with me shortly. And oh, the accent was distinctly American-made me think of cowboy films! Yippee-ki-yay!
