Got calls in the early evening on back to back days. Just like others said, they only rang a couple of times and then went silent when I picked up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Someone rang claiming to be from an Equity Release firm, but honestly, I could barely catch what they were saying. When I asked how they had my number, they told me it came from folks who'd applied for PPI. That’s rubbish because I never signed up for anything like that. I’ve blocked the number now.

My phone rang from this number, but they hung up before I could answer. Curious, I called them back, only to be met with a rather dodgy voicemail prompting me to share my personal information. I didn't hesitate to block them straight away. It feels like an alarming ploy to collect sensitive data from unsuspecting individuals.

Picked up the phone and some random foreign-sounding nonsense was coming through, couldn’t make a thing out of it! Seeing what others have said, no doubt it’s a scam. I’ve blocked the number so I won’t get hassled again.

I reckon if no one bothered with cold calls, they'd fizzle out pretty quick. The issue is, some folks do pick up or reply, so those companies keep on trying. Personally, I don’t entertain any of it, and when a firm keeps ringing or sending junk mail, I avoid using their services completely. I’ve done this quite a few times now and it seems to work.

I got a call from an unknown number, didn’t pick up as I wasn’t sure who it was. No voicemail left or anything, so I just blocked the number after.
