Just had a call from someone claiming I could get over £3,000 back due to some sort of bank fraud. When I asked which bank, they couldn’t say, but said someone would come round with forms to fill in and ID confirmation, paying by cheque. The accent sounded Indian, but they said they were calling from London. Honestly, the caller sounded way too slick, knowing exactly what I’d ask and ready with convincing answers. What a twit. I’ve never laughed so hard at someone trying to rope in my partner like that. The government seriously needs to track these muppets down and lock them away on some offshore ship for a few years, plus hit their company with a massive fine. That’s the only way to keep these pesky scammers off our backs!

I got a call from an Asian lady who said she was with National Debt Recovery. I told her I knew about the laws she was breaking, and she quickly said sorry and hung up. After reading the other comments, I'm thinking this might be a scam trying to trick people out of their money.

No clue who it was. When I checked the number, it looked like it came from Sheffield. Tried calling back but the number wasn’t valid. Best to just ignore and block!

I missed a call from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Looked it up on here and decided to block it now.

I got a call from some guy claiming to be from the National Debt Helpline. When I asked him why he was ringing me, he just went quiet and then hung up. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Not completely sure! I think it could be someone I know from Sheffield, but I wasn't certain about the phone number. When I called it back, the number didn’t come up on the system, so I decided to just block it.
