Called me at nine this morning, claiming to be Nicky from the Windows Technology Department. Initially, I presumed it was a double glazing pitch. Not inclined to stick around for the sales spiel!

Received a call at exactly 12:20, claiming my computer was supposedly inundating them with signals, which they deemed problematic. When I quizzed him on how he pinpointed my location, he insisted it was the router transmitting all these signals. Strangely, he wouldn’t concede that the Sheffield number indicated his own location. The chap had a male, Asian voice, and he was quite insistent, evading my queries, though he did make some half-hearted attempts at an answer. Eventually, I just told him to take care and hung up.

Received a couple of calls from this number around 09:00 over the last two days. Unfortunately, we missed the chance to pick up the 'phone both times. When I attempted to return the call, all I got was a recorded message saying, "There seems to be a fault, please try again later." So, I decided to have a look online and found this site; really appreciate the insights here. I'm now planning to block 01143598397 to stop any further disturbances.

We've received a couple of calls from this number, both times at about 9 in the morning on successive days. Unfortunately, we weren't able to pick up the 'phone either time. I attempted to return the call, but all I got was a recorded message saying, "There appears to be an issue, please try again later."
After doing a bit of searching online, I stumbled upon this site; much appreciated for the details provided. I'm now planning to block 01143598397 from ringing through to us.

This caller doesn’t actually hail from Sheffield. Apparently, they’re using a 'virtual geographic' number through AQL. If you're curious, you can verify these details on http://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm.

I encountered a right dodgy character posing as the so-called "Windows Technical Department." What a swindle!

This morning, I received a call from this number. An Asian lady on the line claimed to be affiliated with the Windows technical support team. I anticipated her spiel about having spotted numerous error reports linked to my device and requesting that I power up my computer. Just as I suspected, she abruptly disconnected the call. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this - it’s a total SCAM!

I hung up the moment we started the conversation.

If you find yourself in a situation where individuals of Asian descent are informing you that there’s an issue with your computer, be aware-it’s likely a con.

Received a call purporting to be from the Windows tech support team. I'm highly suspicious and suspect it's a scam. Best to steer clear of it!

I received a call today from a woman with a distinctly Asian accent claiming to be from a technical department. Upon requesting her to clarify her statement, she abruptly hung up. It seems likely to me that it's a scam involving a computer, but it’s quite puzzling why they would use a Sheffield number.

I had an unsettling encounter with what claimed to be Windows Technical Support. They were pushing to gain access to our computer and its files. Best steer clear of this lot!

"Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft Tech Support; it was clearly a dodgy attempt at scamming from someone using an affected device. An Asian lady was on the line, but she hung up sharpish as soon as we mentioned the word 'scam'!"
