Got a call around 9 in the morning from someone named Nicky, claiming to be from the Windows Tech Department. I assumed it was about double glazing at first. I didn´t even let her get to the selling part.

Got a call around 12.20 from a bloke claiming my PC was beaming out loads of signals causing trouble. When I questioned how he knew my location, he said it was all through my router. He kept dodging the fact that the Sheffield number showed where he really was. Sounded like a male, Asian accent. Sounded pretty pushy and kinda tried to answer me but it didn’t sound genuine. I just cut him off and hung up.

This number phoned us twice, both times close to 9am on back-to-back days. We missed it both times and couldn’t pick up. When we phoned back, an automated voice said something like, “There’s a fault, please ring again later.”

This morning, I got a ring from this number and an Asian lady claimed she was calling from the Windows tech team. I told her to wait, guessing she’d say there were lots of error reports coming from my machine and ask me to turn on my computer. At that moment, she just cut the call.
