I got a call from someone claiming to be with 3, saying they wanted to swap my SIM because my signal was rubbish. They asked for my email, and for some reason, I just gave it to them: [email protected]. Before I could even say much, the bloke started guessing my email based on me saying "yankee." Poor guy said he hears that a lot. He told me to try saying "cream cheese" next, which made no sense to me, must be some weird trick from his side. Then, out of nowhere, he just hung up without even telling me anything about the new SIM. Proper annoying!

I've blocked numbers like this loads of times, it usually stops for a few weeks but then they start leaving voicemails even though the number's blocked. Got one just recently that said something like "call us to remove you from our calling list" at the end. Really? If I've blocked you, isn't that a pretty clear sign? Feels like a desperate move to get through. I’m not interested at all. If I want cheaper energy deals or had PPI claims or was in an accident, I’d handle it myself. And no thanks on the smart meter, haven’t heard anything good about them. Just leave me be!

Got called 5 times all in one day. Picked up once, and they barely knew anything about me apart from my last name. They kept asking what sort of utility meter I have, if my bills go out quarterly or if I’m on direct debit, and who my supplier was - but they never said if it was gas, electric or water. Pretty odd.

Got a call from some scammers claiming I owed them about £360. When I told them to buzz off, they started saying they knew my address and threatened to send folks round.
