Got a call asking, "Have you been in an accident?" I said yes. Then they asked, "Was it your fault?" I said no. They told me to hold while they connected me. The person on the line started asking about the accident. I asked how they got my number, and they said it was from my insurer. I explained I’m an insurance lawyer in London and hadn’t told my insurer about any accident, so how could this happen? The guy just said, “Don’t blame me, I just work here.” I then asked if their script mentioned GDPR, and he hung up on me.

Got a call off this number saying I’d been in an accident. When I asked for details, they just said ‘you had an accident, it wasn’t your fault’. I asked again which accident and they said ‘I’m not trying to sell you anything, just checking if you’ve had an accident in the last couple of years’. I asked why they’re even asking if they don’t know already, and guess what, they just hung up on me! Definitely block this one!

Got calls from some energy company at like half 9 in the morning, not the best time when im dead tired. I picked up twice then just ignored after that, blocking didn’t work since they just switched the number. Switched off my answerphone so their calls just ring out and no voicemail gets left.
