Sounds like it's the Utilita debt collectors calling. They usually just drop the call as soon as you pick up, probably so they can say they attempted to arrange a payment plan. I heard if the case’s been to court, they can tack on over £200 in compliance fees. If they took on my debt, they must have really messed up the numbers.

Got a text saying it was from utilita. You can add your number to their do not call register.

Received a call from someone claiming I was on a Pay As You Go scheme for my gas and electricity. They insisted that I ought to switch to their so-called superior Smart Meter system. When I mentioned that I already had a smart meter installed, they responded as if theirs was leagues ahead. I firmly told them where to go. Quite pushy they were! I've since blocked their number.
