Received multiple calls from this number, so I thought I'd pick up today. The bloke on the line claimed to be from EE, offering me some discounts on my account. Before I decided to end the call, he had the cheek to ask me a couple of questions. He wanted my full name and how much I pay each month. Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked him, "Do you know my date of birth and my address?" Shockingly, he rattled them off without hesitation. Then he pried a bit more, inquiring about how many people reside at my place, how often I use my WiFi, and how many devices I connect. I grew a bit weary of the whole thing and told him I’d rather pop into the shop to sort out my deals. This number managed to bypass my spam call blocker, so it could genuinely be EE… Just thought I’d share, in case it aids someone else.

Got a call from EE saying "you might be eligible for some offers", but then they asked loads of security questions like "what's your surname on the account?", "when was your last bill?" and "password on the account?". I gave my surname but didn’t want to share the rest. The guy was quite polite and said he couldn’t continue without that info and suggested I visit an EE shop. So that was the end of the call.

A few weeks back, I received a rather curious call from these folks. They had bothered me with several missed calls until finally, I was at home and picked up. They claimed to represent EE, and to be fair, they appeared quite convincing - they had some information about my account and asked for a couple of letters from my password, which, funnily enough, is what EE tends to do. They mentioned that I had been a valued customer and wanted to present me with a more affordable contract alongside a new phone. The chap assured me that it would be delivered within 3 to 10 days, and I'd receive a text on the morning of its arrival. A supervisor went over the terms and conditions, we exchanged pleasantries, and that was the end of it. I’m fairly confident I didn’t divulge any personal information, but they seemed to already possess much of it anyway. However, when I rang EE today, they informed me that they do not reach out to customers regarding upgrades and had no record of such a call.
