I recently received a call from a young lady of Indian descent who mentioned she was doing a survey on loft insulation. However, it quickly became apparent that it was more of a veiled sales pitch than an actual survey. Quite sneaky, if you ask me!

I believe the person on the line identified themselves as representing Green Energy, stating they were conducting complimentary assessments for energy efficiency and loft insulation in our neighbourhood. I informed them that I don’t currently possess any loft insulation and promptly ended the call.

We've been getting calls from these con artists pretty much daily for months now. The one time we picked up, it was some automated voice asking for a person we don't even know and telling us to call back. We blocked the number ages ago, but they still keep ringing us non stop.

This number has popped up on my call log a few times now, but thankfully my landline has call screening, so they don’t make it through. I’d definitely recommend others to set up something similar if they can. These kind of calls usually get stopped before ringing, but if one ever does ring, I’m able to pick up, reject, or block straight away, so I don’t have to deal with them directly.

This is the fifth time in four days that I’ve gotten one of those silent calls that just hang up. Are the daft scammers trying to break some kind of record or what? If they are, someone should probbly verify it. I’d be happy to back that up, just as long as they cover my costs like my phone bill, stamps, and any travel expenses I might have. On top of that, they’d have to vow to steer clear of this area for at least half a year.

Got a call today, picked up since the number had our local code. The person started talking about energy inspections, saying their system shows I own the place and have lived here a decade. I told them straight away I don’t own the house. They asked again, I told them the same, and then said, “Oh, you don’t own it, alright then, hope you get your own place soon, have a good day,” and just hung up on me. Blocked the number straight away.

This number has called me twice today and four times in the last three days, always with silence and then they just hang up. I’ve seen around 20 comments here already, and I’ve actually posted three of them myself before now. I never asked for any calls from repair or building firms, so I reckon these are breaking the rules against cold calling without any prior consent. Sounds like the usual behaviour of dodgy scam callers to me.

Loads of people on here say this number belongs to a call centre trying to sell window replacements. They’re gonna be waiting ages for me to call back, cos to me, they’re just scammers making dodgy cold calls. I’ve no intention of getting any work done on my house, and if I ever did, I’d go straight to a trusted local company or tradesperson.
