I got a call that appeared to be local with the Sheffield area code (0114), but it was actually from New Delhi, India, because the number started with 011. Turns out, it's a scam about an Amazon Prime account. Be careful!

Got a robocall saying it was from Amazon, but I hung up straight away since I’m not even a customer. Feels like one of those scam calls to me.

got a voicemail saying it’s amazon warning me about a subscription about to be charged. i reckon it’s a trick to scare folks, especially those who don’t even shop on amazon, into handing over their money. be careful and just hang up on these calls.

I've been getting these calls on my home phone loads recently, all from some automated voice saying they’re about to take £79.99 from my account for renewing Amazon Prime. The weird thing is, I’ve never even signed up for Amazon Prime! Feels like a total scam to me. It's getting really annoying with them ringing multiple times a day or every week.
