Got a call from 07552761138 saying my NI number was at risk in Wales. Thing is, I'm in Leeds, so it was fishy from the start. It was some sort of automated thing asking me to press 1, which I didn’t do. This sounds like a scam, so watch out and make sure to report it if you get it too - these scammers are up to no good!

I’ve had a couple of calls from this number purporting to be from HMRC. Both times, I was greeted by a rather unsettling automated voice, supposedly from someone called 'Dennis Grey' who warned me to return the call or I’d encounter serious legal trouble. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang them back. The chap on the other end persisted that he represented HMRC, but once I brought up 'Dennis Grey', things took a bizarre turn. He bombarded me with some rather unsavoury and inappropriate questions, claiming he was calling from a different country-though his voice suggested otherwise. I've since blocked the number. Quite an odd experience, to say the least!

Be cautious! Initially, I received a recorded message in a female voice stating that HMRC had initiated an inquiry and intended to pursue legal action against me.
