I called and asked for (first name), but when I told them they don't live here, they just ended the call. Then I tried calling again and got a message saying the call might be recorded.

When my parents mentioned I wasn’t at home and offered to pass on a message, they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite a peculiar experience, I must say!
