I received a phone call claiming to be from Amazon, and it was a bit fishy right from the start. There was no proper security verification, yet they seemed to know it was my account because of my phone number. They claimed there were some dodgy dealings regarding my card and urged me to log in to process a refund and halt payments. Feeling rather uneasy about the whole situation, I expressed my discontent with their request. They then pressed me for a reason, and when I attempted to end the call, they made veiled threats about me being liable for some purchases. I swiftly hung up and took it upon myself to verify my account through another avenue.
