I had a rather earnest sounding gentleman ring me up, professing to be from Yahoo, but then he sheepishly revealed he was actually from "Infoserve." He had a rather alarming amount of personal information that he referenced from my website. Curious, I decided to look up his Leeds number on Google and was met with a barrage of posts warning about it being associated with scams. I didn't hesitate to hang up after that!

I received a lengthy phone call earlier today from someone claiming to represent Yahoo, insisting they could enhance our online visibility. It was rather frustrating, as they seemed unwilling to hear us out when we mentioned our preference for just the complimentary options available. Honestly, it felt more like a sales pitch, and I can't help but wonder if it might have been a scam of some sort.

I've come across a rather dodgy outfit going by the name of Infoserve. They masquerade as either Yahoo or Bing, attempting to lure you into logging in to verify some so-called details. Once you’ve taken the bait, they push their services on you. It's incredibly frustrating! I’d recommend that you demand they take your number off their lists at the very first interaction. It's appalling that such underhanded sales strategies are even entertained in the business world!

I received a rather suspicious call from someone purporting to be from 'Microsoft Yahoo', wanting to verify details about my business listing on Yahoo Local. They insisted I needed to be at my computer for this. However, as I'm not in the office at the moment, they mentioned they would ring back at a later time. It all seems rather dodgy, if you ask me!

I received a phone call claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that I log into my computer to confirm some information regarding my business. I informed him that conversing about my business didn’t require a computer. He then insisted he needed to check some specifics related to mapping and Bing searches connected to my business. I expressed my concerns about him possibly being a hacker, and he promptly hung up. I've now blocked his number. This is the third time just this week that someone has attempted to coax me into granting remote access to my device.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that I had to sign into my computer or laptop in order to confirm certain information regarding my business. I informed him that I could provide any necessary details without needing to boot anything up. He then mentioned there had been numerous inquiries on Bing regarding my company, but he needed to verify some specifics, including a location map. I questioned his authenticity, suggesting he might be trying to pull a fast one, and abruptly, he ended the call.

Just like Mille mentioned earlier, I got a message stating that "[name] from Yahoo & Bing reached out about your online listing. They're requesting a callback at 0113 8595137." However, it’s clear they aren't genuinely representing Yahoo & Bing. They are actually from Infoserve based in Leeds. They might have some sort of affiliation with Yahoo, but rest assured, they are not calling on their behalf. If you're curious, do a quick search for 'Infoserve reviews' to find out more about them.

The caller claimed to be from the Yahoo Bing Network, pushing rather pricey ad-related services. They asserted that Apple has exclusively partnered with Yahoo/Bing following some local merge. I ended up chatting with them for about half an hour!
