I got a call from a bloke who sounded really genuine, said he was with Yahoo but then changed it to "Infoserve". He somehow knew all the stuff I'd put on my website. When I searched his Leeds phone number online, there were loads of warnings saying it’s a scam. So, I just told him goodbye and hung up.

Received a call earlier from someone claiming to be with Yahoo, offering to boost our online visibility. They weren’t interested when we mentioned we only wanted the free listing. Felt a bit off, like it might’ve been a scam or something.

Had a call from this company called Infoserve, they pretend to be from Yahoo or Bing or summat and try to get you to log in to some site to "check your details". Then they quickly start pushing their services on you. Properly frustrating! I'd say the best move is to tell them straight away to take your number off their list. Their sales methods feel quite dodgy and definitely don't deserve to win any customers.

I received a rather suspicious call from someone purporting to be from 'Microsoft Yahoo', wanting to verify details about my business listing on Yahoo Local. They insisted I needed to be at my computer for this. However, as I'm not in the office at the moment, they mentioned they would ring back at a later time. It all seems rather dodgy, if you ask me!

I got a call from someone saying they were from 'Microsoft Yahoo' who said there was an issue with my Yahoo Local business listing. They said I needed to be at my computer to sort it out. Since I wasn’t in my office, they said they’d ring back later. Feels pretty dodgy to me, like a scam.

I received a phone call claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that I log into my computer to confirm some information regarding my business. I informed him that conversing about my business didn’t require a computer. He then insisted he needed to check some specifics related to mapping and Bing searches connected to my business. I expressed my concerns about him possibly being a hacker, and he promptly hung up. I've now blocked his number. This is the third time just this week that someone has attempted to coax me into granting remote access to my device.

Somebody called claiming to be from Microsoft, saying I had to log into my laptop so he could check some info about my business. I told him there was no need to turn on my computer, I could just answer the questions over the phone. He mentioned they’d seen loads of Bing searches about my firm and wanted to confirm details like the map. I got suspicious and called him out as a possible scammer, and then he just ended the call.

Just like Mille mentioned earlier, I got a message stating that "[name] from Yahoo & Bing reached out about your online listing. They're requesting a callback at 0113 8595137." However, it’s clear they aren't genuinely representing Yahoo & Bing. They are actually from Infoserve based in Leeds. They might have some sort of affiliation with Yahoo, but rest assured, they are not calling on their behalf. If you're curious, do a quick search for 'Infoserve reviews' to find out more about them.

The caller claimed to be from the Yahoo Bing Network, pushing rather pricey ad-related services. They asserted that Apple has exclusively partnered with Yahoo/Bing following some local merge. I ended up chatting with them for about half an hour!
