I recently picked up a call from a chap representing some broadband service, claiming he could reduce my monthly rates. He had a hint of an Asian accent, and, rather naively, I ended up sharing my address and the amount I was paying with Sky. To my dismay, once he had that information, he abruptly informed me he couldn’t help with lowering my bill and seemed eager to end the conversation. Thankfully, I was wise enough not to divulge any banking details. He did probe if I still used my landline, which has left me feeling quite uneasy. I'm worried he might attempt to pull a fast one on me. I've already fallen victim to scams twice this year, and I really don't need the hassle of another one!
