7 yearsI'm having a bit of trouble locating the search feature on your website to input a phone number. Would you mind assisting me with this?7 yearsUtterly irritating and quite confrontational!7 yearsI received a call today from someone inquiring about an individual whose name is completely unknown to me. I politely informed the caller that they had dialed the wrong number. To my surprise, the lad on the other end began to chastise me vehemently, insisting that he was correct and that since my voice answered, I must be the person he was after. I requested quite calmly that he remove my number from their records. Unfortunately, his tone escalated even further, as he claimed that their system might not accurately link names to numbers, yet he was adamant that I was indeed the right person since I had picked up the phone. As I attempted to reiterate my request for him to delete my details, he interrupted me yet again, trying to speak over me. I had to raise my voice in order to get through to him, demanding that he cease his interruptions and actually listen to my words. After a moment of chaos, he abruptly hung up on me. What an absolute fool!7 yearsBlimey, the chap on the other end had a proper thick Liverpool accent, and he was rattling off his words at a hundred miles an hour! Honestly, I could barely catch what he was on about, but it felt like he was trying to flog me something related to PPI. Couldn’t quite make it out, so I just told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. I thought OFCOM had put a stop to all this nonsense! This was on my mobile, but I’ve also had my fair share of pestering calls on my landline too, including the annoying silent ones. What a right nuisance!BlimeyLiverpoolOFCOM7 yearsI received a phone call that claimed to be from Leeds, but in reality, it seemed to be routed from India. The lady on the other end had a strong Indian accent and, when pressed, she insisted their main office was based in Leeds, all while refusing to acknowledge the obvious overseas connection. The call was filled with background noise indicative of a call centre, and the noticeable delay was another clue that it wasn’t local. They were attempting to inform me that PPI had somehow been added to my credit card payments, despite the fact that I settle the balance in full each month without fail. Curiously, she had my name, which is surprising given that I’m ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I made it clear she was barking up the wrong tree, but she persisted, refusing to accept my refusal. I eventually decided it was best to terminate the call.LeedsIndiaTelephone Preference Service7 yearsThey called me by name, which was a bit off-putting. The whole conversation turned into a relentless push for PPI, even after I mentioned that I’d already dealt with it. He wouldn’t let up, insisting that I was mistaken and that I could actually claim more. Eventually, I had to just hang up on him.7 yearsI've been inundated with calls from this number lately. Eventually, I picked up, only for them to inquire about some woman I'd never heard of. I promptly ended the call and added them to my block list.7 yearsReceived a ring, but there was no response on the other end.7 yearsBeware of this perilous con!Submit Your Own Report (0113 827 5385)
