Today around 9:25am, I got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent saying she was ringing on behalf of Nationwide. She mentioned sending me a £10 pre-paid card but wanted to verify my address first. Weirdly, she read out my old, no longer valid address! She sounded really sure of herself and quite pushy. I'd had a nearly identical call a few days ago too - I’m convinced it’s some call centre based in India. No legitimate bank or building society would handle things like this, it’s definitely a scam. I’d seriously recommend blocking this number.

Got a call from someone saying they’d send me a kit to help claim PPI. I told them I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing and were quite rude. Then I told them I’m only 16 (which I’m not) and never taken any loans. They just hung up straight away!

Got a call from an Asian bloke who asked if he was speaking to "my name" then said he was from BCC about some PPI thing. He already had my house number and postcode, which seemed fishy. I told him I wasn't interested and thought it was sketchy that he didn’t properly introduce himself. Blocked the number straight away. No clue how he got hold of my info.

Got a few calls over the last couple of days. I blocked the number after the first ring. The person on the line actually knew my name, address and even an estimate of my relatives’ ages, which really creeped me out. A bloke with a heavy accent rang me, claimed he was from Nationwide Building Society and asked if I had life insurance. I told him I already do, then he started naming loads of different companies I might use. I said surely, as the expert, you'd know who I’m with! Since 8.30 this morning, I've had like 14 more calls that I ignored. I was waiting for an important call and accidentally picked up this one. A lady with an accent was saying she'd sent me stuff about PPI, but I told her I'm fed up with the nonstop calls from that number and that I don’t have any PPI. She just hung up. It's so irritating, especially since I’ve blocked that number and some similar ones too. Grrr!!
