Got a call from someone claiming I was in an accident, but it sounded like a total scam!

I received a call from this number before, claiming to be from some made-up Housing Disrepair Team. They sound so pompous, it's a right laugh, honestly! Today, they were on the line claiming to be from The Financial Credit Services, still trying to sound all important and serious. It would be amusing if it weren't so obvious what they're up to. When they asked, “Why do you find this amusing, madam?” I couldn’t help but reply, “Because deep down, you realise this isn't a legitimate concern, don’t you?” And then... click!

Some random number called me so I just let it go to voicemail and as soon as the message kicked in, they ended the call straight away.

I've never had anyone from Leeds ring me so I reckon it's a scam. Someone else mentioned they claimed to be from H.M.R.C., but honestly, if that happens just put the phone down. The tax office don’t usually call, they send letters, not emails.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, said there was some fraud done using my name and told me to hit button 1. Sounded fishy to me.

I strongly advise against engaging with these individuals; they’re nothing but fraudsters! They pretend to represent a housing disrepair service, but don’t be fooled! It’s a scam, plain and simple.

I didn’t recognise the number, so I opted not to answer. They didn’t leave a voicemail, either.
