Loads of strange calls have been coming from unknown numbers lately, so I just ignored this one. After seeing what others have said about it, I'm pretty relieved I didn't pick up. Definitely marking this as a risky number.

Judging by the other comments, it seems this number is linked to all sorts of dodgy calls. I got a ring this morning from it, someone talking about PPI on mortgages and loans, asking which bank I use. They claimed I might be owed cash for mis-sold PPI. I told them I never had any PPI and that the deadline to claim passed back in August 2019. They just hung up straight away after that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be UK Broadcasting. It was a woman with an Asian accent who gave me a fake name - one I had made up for a caller a while back. She wanted to check who my energy provider was. When I asked for her company's address, she said it was some sort of outsourcing firm. Pressed her again for an exact address and she mentioned a street in Mayfair, London. Then I asked for the postcode, and she said she needed to look it up. After a bit of chit-chat that didn’t make much sense, the call just dropped. Seems like just another lead generation scam.
