It seems to be yet another pesky cold caller trying to peddle rubbish, but now they're playing sneaky and have begun to withhold their number. Absolutely infuriating!5 yearsIgnored the call since it was ringing on a Sunday afternoon, totally out of the blue. Blocked the number immediately after.5 yearsGot a call that was completely silent and then they dropped it after just a few seconds.5 yearsGot a call from some random person, seemed fishy, probably a scammer. They didn’t explain anything else though.5 yearsI received a call from someone using my maiden name, claiming to be from the NHS, which immediately raised my suspicions. I've been married for eight years and changed my surname straight away! They started off by asking about my vaccinations and whether I'd experienced any side effects or had contracted Covid. Then they inquired if I had any sort of medical insurance. When I mentioned that my husband manages that sort of thing and I wasn't certain, the caller pressed me to name at least one provider off the top of my head. I firmly replied that I wasn't going to voice any name if I wasn't sure it was legitimate. He insisted that it was all above board, thanked me, and promised I'd receive a text confirming my vaccination details soon after. I simply said 'Alright then.' 🙄NHSCovid5 yearsReceived a call, but didn’t leave any voicemail.5 yearsI had a similar experience; they claimed to be affiliated with the NHS, and I had just received my COVID booster-quite unsettling, to be honest.NHS5 yearsI found it quite amusing that he couldn’t get my name right at all! This bloke had the audacity to say he was looking into whether I’d had the Covid jab, presumably to get under my skin and put me in my place. I didn’t beat around the bush and asked him outright if he was after my bank info. I even tossed in a cheeky remark about how I couldn't say for sure if I’d had the vaccination! I let him know I was well aware he was just trying to peddle some insurance to me. In the end, I insisted he erase my details from whatever list he had. After further questioning that I chose not to engage with, they abruptly ended the call.NHS5 yearsI’m right there with you! They seemed to know my NHS number and postcode without any hassle! Is it possible that the NHS has sold off our personal information?5 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be with the NHS, inquiring whether I’d received both doses of the vaccine.
