Some dodgy call about "business interruption compensation" came through, probably a spoof from overseas. I wasn’t buying any of it and ended the call right away. Number looked pretty suspicious.

I received an unsolicited call from a young lady purporting to be from South Africa, inquiring whether I had faced any business interruptions and if I wished to file a claim. Strangely, my phone displayed a Leeds number. After doing a bit of digging, I managed to reach an office based in Wythenshawe, Manchester. The company in question was registered on 6th September 2019 but hasn't submitted any accounts, and a notice for striking it off was issued on 16th December 2020. To add to the intrigue, the previous directors resigned on 27th October 2020 only for one to be reinstated on 16th December 2020. This particular director is linked to nine other companies, all freshly established within the past year and a half, with no accounts lodged at Companies House. Just a word of caution to others out there-stay vigilant!
