They've rung me a couple times but always silent when I pick up. I've ended up blocking the number on my phone now.

Got a call from someone saying his name was Tereece, complete con bloke. He was all aggressive, saying I owed money for some PPI claim. Reckons he works for a firm called MPR but I can't find any company like that anywhere. Ended up reporting him to the cops 'cause he was proper threatening and harassing me.

They called looking for me and my partner but got our names all mixed up. Used my partner's last name instead and even called her Mrs instead of Miss. I told them no one by that name lives here, then they just hung up. Jotted down the number for blocking later - gonna be screening calls from now on.

Got a call saying I had £2,500 waiting from PPI, and they said they’d send me a letter but needed to ask a few questions first. The person on the phone struggled with English and when I asked them to take my info off their list cos I’m with TPI, he insisted it wasn’t a sales call. I told him I never requested the call, so TPI was relevant, then he got quite rude, so I just hung up.

Some woman rang me from what sounded like a really noisy office, and the phone kept crackling so it was hard to catch everything she said. She was talking about PPI claims. She mentioned a cheque was on its way to me, then started asking about any loans and credit cards I’d taken out.

They had my full name, address and postcode, told me I was due a PPI refund from a claim I made less than two years ago and that there was still some money left to get. They asked if the first payout I got was from a credit card or bank PPI claim (which they should already know if there’s still money owed), then they started asking about my mortgage. I told them I was tied up and just hung up.

Got a call from someone named Megan about PPI, sounded really bossy and rude. Even after I told her we already made a claim, she just kept going on like I didn’t get it. Honestly, I do understand and I’m not gonna apply again, that would be dodgy. She kept saying the banks have been cheating people out of their money but this company can sort it out somehow!

This person keeps ringing me, pretending to be my partner, claiming she asked about a work-from-home job, which she never did. They got really nasty and threatened to keep calling every day, and they actually have. Something really needs to be done to stop this kind of threatening behaviour on the phone.

So some woman called saying she was from Cresco, but it kinda sounded like Tesco when she spoke. When I questioned her, she claimed it was Tesco! She was asking for my wife by her first name. I gave the phone to my wife, and she ended up hanging up on the caller after a bit. Definitely blocked now.

I experienced quite the unpleasant encounter when I requested to be taken off their list. The person on the other end was rather confrontational, and when I politely asked to speak with a manager, I was told they were all tied up in meetings. It might be worth their while to consider hiring individuals who possess a bit more courtesy if they decide to pursue cold calling as a strategy!
