Yet another annoying, pushy caller. Here's a tip: say you haven’t talked to anyone in ages and just start rattling on about random stuff - the weather, politics, or even how your back’s been hurting. They usually get bored and stop ringing pretty quickly.

Someone called my work line, and I explained it was just for emergency use. She asked for my personal number instead. I refused and ended the call. Since then, she’s kept ringing the emergency line loads. I’ve had to block the number now.

This number has rung me loads of times, all on my mobile which is annoying cos I’ve got a blocker on my home phone, wish it worked for mobiles too! Anyway, I just ignore it. I figure if it’s important, they’ll send a text. Whenever an unknown number pops up on my phone, I usually look it up on my laptop first before deciding to pick up or not.

Got a cold call and they kept me on hold until I said something, then a person answered with 'How’s your day going, sir?' I asked, 'Sorry, who did you want to speak to?' Caller said, 'I’m [name], calling on behalf of...' Before he could finish, I cut in, 'I’m asking again, WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO REACH?!' The bloke said, 'Oh, wrong number,' and then just hung up. Bit of luck for me, I guess.

Sounds like a PBA claim firm. Was pretty quick to end the call once I said I’d never even come across PBAs before. For a nuisance call it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting.
